Mauricio Pochettino will turn down any approach from Chelsea and continue as Tottenham Hotspur manager, reports The Daily Star.

Pochettino has led Spurs to a top four finish for the third successive season, and managed to do so with less resources compared to the other English Premier League big guns.

For all Pochettino's success at Tottenham since taking over the reins at White Hart Lane, the Argentinian coach is still waiting to get his hands on his first trophy at Spurs.

The Argentinean is set to meet with Chairman Daniel Levy for crisis talks later this week.

That will have been music to the ears of left-back Rose, who is not averse to giving his opinion on what the club should do after his notorious interview last summer where he told them to splash the cash and pay their top players what they are worth. It is good that the manager has come out and said that [comments on being brave].

The England global lost the left-back spot at Spurs to Ben Davies this term and has been limited to 17 appearances in all competitions.

The 27-year-old has previously been critical of Spurs' lack of spending, but has previously apologized for the timing of his comments.

The centre-half explained: "I've enjoyed it so much this season because I have quality team-mates, I have quality staff guiding me and I have a quality training ground to work at".

"It is a season where I have had to be patient and be mentally positive", Sky Sports News quotes the defender as saying.

'I like to think everyone has moved on, I am here and I am looking forward to coming back to pre-season and hopefully me and Ben can start fresh and fight for the number one position.
