The LG G7 ThinQ is here, global launch beginning tomorrow

Much has been said about the LG G7 ThinQ but we're more interested as to when the smartphone will officially rollout, for how much, in what countries exactly, and from what mobile carriers. The company has confirmed that key markets in Asia, Europe, the Americas will follow shortly thereafter.

Back at MWC 2018, LG unveiled its upgraded V30S ThinQ smartphone.

LG will make the LG G7 ThinQ available in South Korea in New Aurora Black, New Moroccan Blue and Raspberry Rose colour options. The phone could also come with a dedicated AI button to launch Google Assistant as seen on the G7 ThinQ. In Netherlands, the G7 ThinQ unlocked variant bears a price tag of Euro 849 (roughly Rs. 67,900).

In the US, Verizon will start taking pre-orders of the LG G7 ThinQ from May 24, while US Cellular will start selling it from June 1.


To recall the specifications of the LG G7 ThinQ, the smartphone sports a 6.1-inch QHD+ FullView Super Bright display with a resolution of 1440 X 3120 pixels. The company is also boasting of a 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Whichever colour you get, you'll get 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage (expandable with a microSD card), and it's all powered by the latest Snapdragon 845 processor.

As for cameras, the rear of the case will house a dual module based on a 16-megapixel sensor. On the front, it features an 8-megapixel sensor with a f/1.9 aperture for selfies and video calls. Both variants have expandable storage via microSD card (up to 2TB). In terms of battery size, a 3000 mAh battery will be fitted.

Connectivity options in the smartphone include 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, Global Positioning System and NFC. Dimensions of the LG G7 ThinQ are 153.2×71.9×7.9mm and it weighs 162 grams.
