Ninja Proves He's a Solo Squad Master After Winning 1v7

Fortnite Solo Showdown

Claiming Victory Royale in a qualifying Solo Showdown match will earn you 100 placement points, second place will get you 94, and the points steadily drop down to a minimum of 25 points for players 76 through 100. Don't get too excited, though: remember, this is a ranking of everyone that plays at least 50 matches in the mode.

Solo Showdown simply acts as a sort of competitive mode in Fortnite Battle Royale.

The Solo Showdown mode started this morning and runs until 10 AM EST on Monday. The prizes for the rest of the top 100 aren't anything to stick your nose up at, either: 2nd-4th place will get 25,000 V-Bucks, 5th-50th will get 13,500, and 51st-100th will get 7,500.

"In the Solo Showdown LTM you will be placed against other self-selected competitors making this the ultimate test of survival".

In addition to the ongoing 50v50 event, Epic has kicked off a new limited-time mode in Fortnite: Battle Royale. Everyone who completes 50 matches will receive a one-off spray. Players compete to earn a spot on the standings, and those with a high enough score by the end of the competition will be rewarded with a huge prize of V-Bucks. Given that lots more new skins and cosmetics are headed to the game, Solo Showdown's top 100 will have plenty of ways to spend their winnings.

Place between 50 and 5 and you'll get 13,500 V-bucks, while fourth, third and second place get 25,000 and the victor gets a whopping 50,000. It's just that you're being tracked for the first 50 matches you play within Solo Showdown to see where you stand. Here are all the details you need to know about the Fortnite Solo Showdown limited time event. Epic Games hasn't confirmed anything about this so far which means that we'll have to wait in order to find out whether or not Fortnite is actually getting a competitive mode.
