Royal Wedding 2018 Meghan Markle’s first challenge REVEALED amid Prince Harry marriage

Kensington Palace is not commenting on reports that Meghan Markle's father needs a heart procedure and will miss Saturday's royal wedding in Windsor.

Mr Markle said Meghan tried to call him Tuesday, but has hasn't spoken to her directly.

Backtracking on his statements the day before, Thomas Markle told TMZ on Tuesday that he has made a decision to go to the wedding after speaking with his daughter.

The palace had announced last week that Thomas Markle and his ex-wife, Doria Ragland, would play important roles in the wedding.

Our thoughts are with Thomas and the Markle family - here's hoping for a safe, successful, and uneventful surgery tomorrow morning!

Thomas Markle has been embroiled in a controversy after the reports revealed he staged a paparazzi photoshoot to get pictures of himself preparing for the wedding.

Her parents have told how the fourth in line to the throne rules the roost, saying she is "very sweet" but also feisty.

Meghan wanted her father, Thomas Markle, to walk her down the aisle.

And yet, it seems she's always been born to come here and tie the knot with Harry in a £32million ceremony.

Donna Werner from the US, who is a super-fan of Britain's Royal Family, poses outside Windsor Castle ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding, in Windsor, May 16, 2018.

"I was told that she's been over several times to see the dress, she was there for the first fitting and for the final fitting".

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to Wednesday in a matter of days at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, and with the bride's father Thomas Markle now reportedly unable to attend, people have been wondering who will walk the bride down the aisle.

Grant confirmed that she and Markle, 36, are estranged.

Elfriede Regner, a 73-year-old retiree from Berlin, said she watched both Charles and William's weddings and will spend Saturday in front of the TV as well.

The wedding of the year is just a few days off, but in Hollywood today they were already celebrating.

So who is Thomas Markle?

Almost two weeks ago, Kensington Palace confirmed that the former lighting director in Hollywood ― who now lives a low-key life in Rosarito, Mexico ― would be walking his daughter down the aisle on May 19.

Meghan's full name is Rachel Meghan Markle, but as she was referred to as Meghan in Buckingham Palace's announcement, it is likely she will use this name officially. "So perhaps her mama gives her away", said Joan Budgin.
