Trump news: 'Obama's FBI spied on Trump campaign with informant', says president

NYT: Papadopoulos, Page Met With 'Govt Informant' Ahead Of Election

This comes after New York Times released a separate report detailing how the Federal Bureau of Investigation was looking into Trump's campaign ever since George Papadopoulos rambled about Russian dirt on Hillary Clinton during a chat with an Australian diplomat.

After the Times piece was posted, Breitbart News ran a headline that said "Leakers to NYT Confirm FBI Ran Spy Operation Against Trump Campaign". They were apparently part of the FBI's frenzied, secretive effort to determine whether the Trump campaign was colluding with the Russian government while taking pains not to influence the election results.

"Wow, word seems to be coming out that the Obama FBI "SPIED ON THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN WITH AN EMBEDDED INFORMANT".

"Congratulations America, we are now into the second year of the greatest Witch Hunt in American History...and there is still No Collusion and No Obstruction".

"What happened here is that they did not have a criminal predicate to open an investigation on Trump", McCarthy said.

"Just as I promised the American people from this podium 11 months ago, we enacted the biggest tax cuts and reform in American history", President Donald Trump said during his State of the Union address Tuesday night. Rather, it could suggest someone who may have had repeated contacts with the Trump campaign spoke with investigators about what they had heard or seen - a whistleblower, in some sense.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) has sought classified documents from the Justice Department, saying he needs to review the records as part of his congressional oversight duties. "It is a very big deal". "There is no question that the Obama administration, that there were actions about surveillance and other activities that occurred in the 2016 elections".
