DelTondo's death comes just six months after the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School teacher was suspended from her job over a leaked police report

A suspended school teacher who had been accused of an inappropriate relationship with a student was reportedly shot to death in her mother's driveway on Mother's Day. The school suspended DelTondo a month after receiving the tip. "I really don't", added Dan Casper, another neighbor.

DelTondo was reportedly not charged but did tell police that "she didn't want her fiancé to know that she was here parked because he would get mad".

The 32-year-old school teacher was shot and died in the driveway. The incident allegedly occurred in February 2016, and DelTondo was found with the student in a parked auto at 2:00 a.m. near Aliquippa hospital.

DelTondo was an elementary school teacher at Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School, an online public school in Midland, until she was suspended in October 2017, Brian Hayden, the school's CEO, told Fox News.

CBS Pittsburgh reports that after returning home late Sunday night from an ice cream shop, Rachael DelTondo stepped on to the driveway of her mother's Buchanan Street home and into a hail of bullets. Police have ruled the death a homicide. The report stated that no charges had been filed against DelTondo in the incident.

She defended herself at the time by saying that the pair were just talking and that the teen was no longer a student. DelTondo told police that the teen was upset and they were friends who were just talking. A police report from 2016 said the two were found in a "steamed-up" parked vehicle around 2 a.m. Police are still searching for the suspect and are actively investigating the incident as a homicide, WPXI reported.

The email included the police report and a note that DelTondo and the teen had a "relationship" over text messages and Snapchat messages.

But the wedding was called off unexpectedly - a few months after DelTondo was caught with the teen, but before the report was made public. Childline is part of a mandated statewide child protective services program, which transmits information to appropriate investigative agencies.

The leak prompted a state police investigation of the Aliquippa Police - which DelTondo complied with. Their wedding was canceled a few months after she was found in the vehicle with the student, but before her name was made public.

DelTondo was suspended last November from the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School.

"We were saddened this morning to learn of the tragic death of Rachel DelTondo, apparently the result of a violent incident in the City of Aliquippa", he said.

Local police later launched an investigation into the information leak, with which DelTondo reportedly cooperated. We express our sympathy to her family, friends, and co-workers.

The 32-year-old was supposed to get married prior to her suspension. It was handmade by a NY designer and required a non-refundable $4,000 deposit.

The DelTondo family still paid for a custom-made wedding dress, but still had to take the New York-based designer to court after he did not send them the dress, and refused to refund them.

Though known in local media outlets for her dispute with her wedding dress designer, Rachael DelTondo was once a teacher.
