Pokemon Switch To Be Revealed This Month, Will Launch In 2018

A Rock-type pokemon

That's all changed as of today, as Nintendo made a move that just dropped a bunch of gasoline onto the fire.

This has been marked as rumour simply because at this point in time it's not clear who has registered the domain names, but either Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, or an individual, has registered the domain names for Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu & Pokemon Let's Go Eevee. According to a report from Nintendo-focussed gaming site, Nintendo Everything (via ResetEera) it's been discovered that domains for these two possible titles - PokemonLetsGoPikachu.com and PokemonLetsGoEevee.com were registered by CSC Corporate Domains.

While the game hasn't been officially revealed yet, it's likely to happen within the next two weeks, as originally claimed by Emily Rogers. Apparently the games will be a remake of Pokemon Yellow, with Pikachu as the starter in one game and Eevee as the starter in the other. Some elements from more recent games will also be added, including the PokeRide feature from Pokemon Sun and Moon. It seems that the plan is for the Switch versions of Pokemon to allow users to catch Pokemon in a manner similar to the one seen in the popular mobile game. The same company is listed as the registrar of Pokemon.com as well. This news was posted on Serebii.net official Twitter account. Hopefully, all the rumors will be addressed and we will have something decisive to work with. Nintendo hasn't given any indication that they'll air a Pokemon Direct this week, but that hasn't stopped fans from getting even more excited about the prospect of a new pair of games.

In her blog post, Rogers also talks about what the game could be like, something we're sure many gamers are wondering about.
