Will former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant sign with the Green Bay Packers

Will former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant sign with the Green Bay Packers

The former Dallas Cowboys tight end predicted former teammate and now unemployed receiver Dez Bryant would sign with the Packers, calling Green Bay a "great fit" for the Cowboys' all-time leader in touchdown catches, but the team isn't expected to pursue him, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. He said that Green Bay would make sense for Bryant, but that at this time the Packers do not appear to be interested in bringing the former star receiver on board.

"I think Dez is certainly going to have plenty of opportunities", Witten said. Dez Bryant with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers playing eight times a year at the sight of Bryant's most infamous play/non-play. I mean, I think that's a great spot for him. "Aaron Rodgers, he throws that back-shoulder throw so well and Dez has great chemistry with a good quarterback that can put the ball wherever he wants".

Witten, who noted he doesn't have any inside info on Green Bay, also pinpointed another possible landing spot for Bryant: the Saints. I still believe Dez can highpoint the football as good as any receiver in the National Football League. You partner him up with Jimmy Graham and Aaron Rodgers, and I think that offense can put up a lot of points. I'm not certain that he goes to the Packers, but I just think that's a great fit. Then, the Ravens picked up receivers Jaleel Scott and Jordan Lasley during Day 3 of the Draft, continuing to revamp the wide receiver room that includes free agent signings Michael Crabtree, John Brown, and Willie Snead.

Bryant simply has not received much interest since being released by the Cowboys earlier this offseason.

Bryant has struggled in recent seasons, with no 1,000-yard receiving campaigns since 2014.

Bryant is 29 years old and coming off a season where he had 69 receptions for 838 yards and six touchdowns.
