Final Fantasy VII Remake Has Composer Nobuo Uematsu On Board

They even added that they are working on "something we've never seen before", further hyping up the game, if that was at all possible. The conversation was between producer Yoshinori Kitase and development lead Naoki Hamaguchi where there was mention about how the game might only be released during Final Fantasy's 35th Anniversary, which would be five years from now in 2023. The information comes from a pamphlet during a recent BRA★BRA Final Fantasy event. And while not much is known about how the game will differ, if at all, from the original game, what we do know looks to be exciting. Not episodes like The Council, parts like the three Final Fantasy XIII games. In 2015, when a remake of Final Fantasy VII was confirmed to be in the works, fans worldwide were ecstatic to be able to revisit an old classic with modern graphics.

It is no exaggeration to say that Final Fantasy VII is considered to be one of the most influential, if not best, JRPGs to date. "So when I first went to ask Uematsu-san to come work on the music for the remake, I thought he would give me the cold shoulder since he had already left Square Enix and found success".


With a few more years of waiting, but with the project in the hands of the studio and people who made the original Final Fantasy VII, the Final Fantasy VII Remake has what it takes to meet the high standards of fans.

Then again, Square Enix may be more concerned with building hype for games with more immediate release dates than Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
