RAGE 2 Gameplay Trailer LIVE: Watch Bethesda's new PS4, Xbox, PC gameplay reveal HERE
We've seen leaks and teasers this past week and now it's official: Rage 2 is in the works, Bethesda confirms, and a gameplay teaser will soon become available.
Here's what the official description of RAGE 2 reads on the official website: "Dive headfirst into a dystopian world devoid of society, law, and order". You can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything. We don't yet have a release date, but keep checking back for more info on RAGE 2 and all things E3 2018 right here.
Yes, Rage 2 exists, and there's a trailer.
Following a number of rumors and leaks, Rage 2 was formally announced for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One.
Instead of denying the recent leaks, Bethesda made a decision to officially announce that Rage is getting a sequel, and it also posted a teaser video reminiscent of Mad Max. That said, I'm wondering if they'll be sticking to the same game engine or switching it out to the IDTech 6 engine that powered DOOM (2016), and Wolfenstein II games.
In keeping with the past mockery following the Walmart leak, the official Rage 2 Twitter account also released a new image tweeted out poking fun at the discovery.
With E3 2018 just around the corner, it will be interesting to see exactly how much gameplay fans will be shown later today. Unfortunately, it doesn't showcase any gameplay, but that's just around the corner. Characters in the trailer sport many of these weapons and, given their history for wild new takes on causing mayhem - Just Cause's grappling hook, anyone? - there's no doubt that Avalanche will add in some fresh ways to cause violence as well.
Stay tuned for more details and the gameplay trailer coming later today.
