Instruments included a Robot Kit (used by Questlove), a Toy-Con piano organ (played by Kamal Gray) and a Piano Studio (rocked by Fallon).

Ariana Grande's "No Tears Left To Cry" is one of the hottest songs on Earth right now, and Nintendo smartly is getting in on that to promote Nintendo Labo. For those who don't know what that is, Fallon explained it - in a way. All it took was matching uniforms, a bunch of Nintendo Labo instruments - made exclusively from Nintendo Switches and cardboard - and some imagination. I mean what is this?

We met with Nintendo and they showed us a bunch of cool cardboard things that you can make.

With some light ingenuity (and a lot of patience), you can fashion controllers resembling guitars, drums and pianos, and even play them once paired with the Switch. The tech definitely has a lot of potential and, in the right hands, can be used to make some pretty unbelievable things. "We'll help you do it'". We asked if we could make other cardboard things like guitars and they [Nintendo] said, 'Of course! "We made guitars by putting rubber bands over the Switch tablet so that it actually feels like you're strumming as your fingers touch the screen", Fallon told IGN. Not only was each project a great building experience but my daughter spent more time on the Switch playing with his creations than she has since we got the portable console.

Don't miss the full segment airing Monday, May 14 at 11:30 pm on NBC's The Tonight Show.
