Boston Dynamics SpotMini Robot Will Go On Sale In 2019

Boston Dynamics will start selling its dog-like Spot Mini robot in 2019
Boston Dynamics, the Massachusetts-based company that builds increasingly sophisticated robots that enjoy opening doors, has released two more videos of its robots doing very clever things that will definitely not come back to haunt humanity at a later date. While speaking at a TechCrunch event this weekend, Boston Dynamics founder Marc Raibert announced that 100 SpotMinis will be built for commercial purposes, and should be going on sale by 2019. While the company has often showcased advanced demos of its emerging projects, SpotMini has seemed uniquely productized from the start.

"SpotMini in pre-production now", said Raibert.
The four-legged robot weighs 25kg and can pick up and handle objects using its 5 degree-of-freedom arm and perception sensors.
Who and why would buy this robot is to be determined.
"The SpotMini robot is one that was motivated by thinking about what could go in an office - in a space more accessible for business applications - and then, the home eventually", Raibert said onstage.
Boston Dynamics was bought from Google's parent company, Alphabet, by Japanese firm SoftBank in August a year ago, but it looks as though developments are surging ahead. But the company said Friday that its smaller robot that looks more like a dog, called "Spot-mini" will be on the market next year. Weighing just 30 kg, this battery-powered robot can carry payloads that measure half its weight on the scale and go 90 minutes on a single charge. The robot required mapping of the facility first, but during the entire run you see on camera, Boston Dynamics says it was driving itself. "We're also looking at construction". Atlas, for example, has the remarkable ability to perform a flawless backflip, though it's not always so steady on its feet.

City reach 100 points as Jesus strikes late
As with any successful team , a good few of those have come from late goals, and the manager emphasised how important that was. Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson agrees terms on a new deal to see him contracted to the Citizens for another seven years.
