While not much is yet known about the features that BlackBerry KEY2 will offer, it will carry its signature physical keyboard in all likelihood. The smartphone will be announced in NY on June 7.

BlackBerry KEY2 will succeed the KEYone which was launched a year ago.

BlackBery has confirmed the launch of the BlackBerry Key2 for June 7. The branding of KEY2 is pretty interesting, with new Blackberry KEY2 logo with a numeral "2" rather than two spelled out, like the company did with KEYone.

BlackBerry tweeted about the launch of the smartphone with a poster that mentions "An Icon Reborn". The TENAA listing had revealed several specifications and other details of the alleged BlackBerry KEY2. This is contrary to the back panel on the BlackBerry KEYone that didn't have a textured design above the rear camera setup. However, contrary reports also suggest that the KEY2 will have a plastic body and the key on its QWERTY keyboard will come with a Matte finish.

Network: 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 & 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C. The BlackBerry Key2 is a successor to last year's BlackBerry KeyOne that boasts premium build, Android OS out-of-the-box, and the standard BlackBerry QWERTY keyboard. The smartphone is further said to feature a 4.5-inch display, 64GB of internal storage, 3,360mAh battery, and Android 8.1 Oreo running out-of-the-box. Moreover, there are some rumors which suggest the handset will debut with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM.
