Raazi box office collection day 1: Alia Bhatt's spy thriller mints Rs 7.53 crores

Alia Bhatt's Raazi has a steady open at the box office

The Meghna Gulzar directorial is already raking in the money at the box office. "Since the beginning, we thought that we were making a small film, so we didn't feel we would get so much attention and love from the audience". Witnesses 50.07% growth on Saturday. Soni Razdan had a short role in the Meghna Gulzar-directed film - she played Alia's onscreen mother - and news agency IANS reports that the Udta Punjab actress said during a television show that she was anxious about her mom memorising her lines. Asked whether she expected a positive response from the audience for her latest release Raazi, Alia said, "I didn't expect this kind of response". Friday 7.53 cr, Sat 11.30 cr.

It seems like that would be one reason why Alia said she doesn't want to spy on Shahid.

For the promotions of Raazi, Alia and Vicky were guests at the kids' talent reality show and to the surprise of the 25-year-old actress, Soni Razdan came to surprise her darling daughter.

The film is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka's novel "Calling Sehmat" which is inspired by real events.

Alia Bhatt plays a spy in Raazi.

Raazi is based on the 1971 India-Pakistan war. After a dismal 2017 for Bollywood movies, 2018 is turning out to be unbelievable and Raazi is yet another film that has the Box office smiling.

While you absorb that shock, let us tell you that there have been strong speculations that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are in a relationship. "To me, Mother's Day is one of those days when I get to see a lot of Mother's Day greeting cards".
