Chelsea’s 95-point haul remains a Premier League record

Chelsea's 95-point haul remains a Premier League record

"The first time you win it, you think you're going to win all of them, the first time you lose you think you're never going to win it again so we want to hold on to this feeling".

"It's incredible. The first time you win it, you think you'll win all of them". It's a hard achievement and I'm proud of the team and everyone involved.

'We all believed in it, otherwise it wouldn't happen, ' Kompany said. "It's gone before you know it". I've been lucky to win three but so many I've missed as well.

"I've never been able to retain a title and I want to see if this team can be even more successful". There's still work to be done before we see the best from the team.

"It differs (to previous titles) in the fact we were consistent the whole season. Previously we've almost thrown it away and come back with character".

"If I had met him when I was 20 years old, I would have improved so much", the Belgium global said.

"Any player under him has had success because of him and how they've improved as individuals".

City captain Vincent Kompany was watching the match with his family, including his United supporting father-in-law, and the club sent someone round ready to broadcast the scenes on the off chance that United slipped up.

The 32-year-old then popped down to the local pub where he met up with team-mates Bernardo Silva, John Stones, Fabian Delph and Kyle Walker.

The City captain was urged to make a speech by his supporters and the Belgian obliged his adoring fans.

Press Association was used in this report.

"At my age I can still learn and I enjoy every minute of it, but I think we share one thing of having the hunger and desire to never be satisfied". It's not a dynasty, it's one title. There is so much to do before we unlock our full potential'. There was a period of adaptation required for everyone.

"The conditions were different to what he had at other clubs, but his methods were right and were what we believed in". "We are nothing without the team".

City's players were not together to watch United's game, with the title-clinching result a major shock to most onlookers.

"I had a feeling when I woke up this morning", he said.
