Jordan Ayew boosted Swansea's fight for English Premier League survival by grabbing a 1-1 draw against Everton on Saturday.

Swansea and Everton are ranked bottom and second bottom for shots on goal this season and with the two boasting few in-form attackers between them, it could pay to bet on it being a very low-scoring game, says Jamie Pacheco.

The former Aston Villa forward had missed the Swans' defeats to Tottenham Hotspurs and Manchester United and West Bromwich Albion stalemate while serving a three-match suspension for his expulsion in their goalless stalemate with Huddersfield on March 10.

Kyle Naughton's first-half own goal looked to have cruelly denied them at least a point after a dominant display against Sam Allardyce's side.

'I was itching to get back because the three games plus the global break, it has been a month since I have played, ' he said.

"The way for us is to play our best level and that can make a big impact with the fans at the Liberty".

"I will keep working hard".

'We still have a bit of a stress, but six months ago we wouldn't have got a draw in this game. A poor season had left many supporters fearful of his inclusion in the team, however, he proved himself one of the Toffees best players.

Everton nearly snatched a victor when Seamus Coleman struck the crossbar 15 minutes from time, but it is now only one victory in eight games for the Toffees.

'We did not play enough stuff to keep them off, which invited a bit of pressure and they got a goal they might feel they deserved.

"If you look at their home record and the teams they have beaten on their own ground we were more than aware of the challenge in front of us". All the better for us.
