Harry Kane

Jose Mourinho's men can increase that to four though if they beat West Brom at Old Trafford tomorrow.

Asked whether he would prefer to win the Champions League or an individual honour like the golden boot, Salah replied: "If you had a choice between the Champions League and (individual honours like the golden boot) then of course the Champions League".

The goal was initially credited to Eriksen but Kane, who swore on his daughter's life that he got the final touch, won his case and was awarded the goal after a review by the Premier League's dubious goals panel.

The opportunity was there for Kane to add to his tally of 25 Premier League goals and catch Mohamed Salah in the race for the Golden Boot, and in turn get people talking about an actual goal he scored rather than his embarrassingly successful goal claim recently to the Premier League.

"To win the Champions League is "whissssshhhh" I can't say "woahhh". I don't care about the rest".

Salah raised an eyebrow last week when he tweeted "Wooooooow really?" after Kane won his controversial appeal to claim Tottenham's victor against Stoke City.

Tottenham fans took to Twitter to criticise Harry Kane for his performance, or lack thereof, against Manchester City on Saturday. We are a team and we have got to play together and if he does it he does it and we will all be happy for him but I don't think we are going to focus too much on it.

"[Salah] told me he's going to claim all of them", Henderson told BT Sport after his team-mate netted his 30th top-flight goal of a remarkable campaign. "If it was me and I touched the ball I would try and claim it as well".

Salah scored one of Liverpool's goals today, moving him five clear of Kane for the scoring lead (both players are also on the PFA Player of the Year award short list).

"But you know, you can see [against Bournemouth] with the team everyone tries to pass the ball to me to help me".
