The aim, it would seem, is to curtail passive play, a strategy that basically involves hiding and trying to keep your health up - if several players are left at the end, the one with the most health wins. If you're caught outside of the blue zone at any time, you begin taking damage.
Key ingredients in making PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds an intense game are the ever-shrinking play area and a so-called blue zone, but now it's time to adjust the latter as part of a new patch for the PC version of the game.
The blue zone, as every PUBG player already knows, dictates the pace of the game by defining an increasingly smaller play area as the game goes on. Now the blue zone will shrink at a faster speed than before in the start of the game which many players wanted.
The final blue zone will narrow down to the center instead of narrowing down to a random spot, and the total wait time including the blue zone inactive time has been reduced.
On Erangel specifically, the first safe zone will now be revealed 30 seconds earlier. Oh, and clothing spawns are out now, too.
We've adjusted safe zone and blue zone functionality.
Elsewhere, PUBG update 10 tinkers around with the Miramar map, specifically the northern part of the battleground, in order to 'make it more appealing.' As such, travel has been facilitated by the addition of more roads, off-road paths, and vehicle spawning locations, while the Oasis is now found in the north area and a new village has set up shop in the northwest.
