Federal and local authorities arrested a man suspected of robbing First American Bank and Trust in Metairie Monday afternoon. Bruce Rowley was arrested in Ansonia, Connecticut last week. He was even planning to be a bit of a philanthropist and donate a portion of his stolen money to the Ansonia police department, who arrested him in CT. A police lieutenant declined to provide additional details about how exactly the injury was inflicted, citing concerns that the information could compromise the investigation into the crime.
He claimed to have tried to contact Swift, but she wasn't home.
Law enforcement officials tell TMZ Rowley was spotted by state troopers after leaving Swift's vacation spot and they chased him back to CT, where he was eventually pulled over. Instead, he's being held on bail for charges of robbery in second degree and larceny in the fourth degree. Rowley is now being held on bail.
Ansonia PD did not immediately respond to a Daily News request for comment.
The transient has been charged with one misdemeanour count of trespassing and also for refusing to leave private property.
