Microsoft Claims E3 2018 Will Be Its Biggest Showing Ever

While Microsoft didn't hit that release window, sources close to the matter have told The Verge that the feature will roll out to Xbox Insiders later this month, but only to users in the Xbox Alpha ring of testing. They were set to release last fall but were delayed into 2018 with no word as to a firm release date.

First announced and shown back at E3 2017, the redesigned Xbox Live Avatars look to be landing on consoles this April.

Originally planned to hit Windows 10 before the end of a year ago, the avatars will become available for Xbox Insider preview members this month.

Additionally, Microsoft plans to launch a new avatar store in May where you'll be able to buy things like clothing and props with real money. In addition, the company will also extend its presence to the Los Angeles Convention Centre, where Mixer will be strutting its stuff for folk to play, stream, and interact with games during E3.

Although Microsoft will be dedicating most of its resources to the Microsoft Theater for E3 2018, the company assures fans it will maintain a "meaningful presence" at the Los Angeles Convention Center for the duration of this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo.

The annual Xbox E3 Briefing will now take place at the Microsoft Theater at LA Live, which will act as a central hub for other Xbox events during the week. An Xbox E3 2018 Briefing will start on June 10th.

How could Microsoft possibly out-do previous E3 conferences, where it introduced the Xbox One S and Xbox One X?

The post left the "biggest showing ever" to be a mystery, but what is known is that the Microsoft Theater will be home to official E3 events; like the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing on June 10th at 1:00 P.M. PT.

Right now only Microsoft Xbox employees have access to the avatars, which were created within the Unity engine.
