Dion Lewis to sign with Tennessee Titans

The 5'8 tailback was part of a solid lineage of NFL-bound tailbacks at the University of Pittsburgh, but struggled to make an impact after being selected in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. A person familiar with the deal told the AP that Lewis has agreed on a four-year contract worth a maximum value of $23.4 million.

Butler came to New England as an undrafted free agent in 2014, and after playing sparingly in the regular season, came up with the biggest play in Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks.

Butler will be reunited with two former Patriots in former linebacker Mike Vrabel and personnel man Jon Robinson.

The cornerback was well-respected in the Patriots' locker room and played last season under a $3.9 million tender offer. Interestingly, Butler was beaten twice for touchdowns by rookie wide receiver Corey Davis in the Patriots' divisional-round victory over the Titans. A Patriot since 2015, the 27-year-old would be a strong addition to a Jets backfield that already features Bilal Powell and Elijah McGuire. He eventually evolved into a critical piece of New England's secondary, but Bill Belichick surprisingly benched him (apart from special teams) for their defeat this past February to the Philadelphia Eagles. Though injuries limited him to just 14 regular season games in his first two seasons in Foxborough, Lewis's impact as a dynamic threat out of the backfield helped keep New England atop the National Football League hierarchy. He has also caught 88 passes for 717 yards and five touchdowns.

Look for the Titans to add another running back to complement Derrick Henry after releasing DeMarco Murray.

In 16 games with the Patriots this season, Lewis rushed 180 times for 896 yards, while catching 32 passes for an additional 214 yards.
