Jurassic World Evolution Release Date Announced, Jeff Goldblum Return Confirmed

Jurassic World game nabs Goldblum

It isn't exactly news that Jeff Goldblum will be returning to the world of Jurassic Park with the upcoming film, Jurassic World.

Goldblum announced his involvement in a video where he revealed that Dr. Malcolm will serve as the players guide in the game. Players will build their own Jurassic World as they bioengineer new dinosaur breeds and construct attractions, containment and research facilities. The actor himself appears in a short trailer promoting his role, and stating the game gets "10 Goldblums out of a possible 10 Goldblums". Best of all, it's going to feature Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm! "That's my highest rating". Sam Neill led Jurassic Park 3 in 2001 and Jurassic World was led by a new cast.

The Target exclusive wounded Dr. Ian Malcolm figurine will be available for purchase staring March 14 for $8.99.

As of the time of this writing, Jurassic World Evolution now does not have a release date, but we know that it'll be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Throwing dinosaurs into the equation should surely spell even more success, though we'll have to wait until the game's release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One this summer to see if it lives up to expectations.

Rob Keyes, manager at Screenrant and CBR, has shared the following screenshot that was captured from a "Jurassic World: Evolution" event at the Universal Backlot.

Other games from Frontier Developments aside from the RollerCoaster Tycoon series include the similar theme park simulation titles Thrillville, Screamride, and Planet Coaster, meaning the people behind this project have notched a lot of experience in making sim games like this work.
