The future of the MCU: What happens after Infinity War

Let's just dive back into that recent Avengers: Infinity War trailer to see the heroes in action.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has been discussing how the 1990s setting opens up new storytelling possibilities, as well as allowing Marvel the opportunity to pay homage to some classic 90s action movies. Feige has referred to Carol Danvers before as arguably the most powerful hero in the MCU.

If you were to compare with the source materials, Thanos' invasion plans to destroy and subjugate worlds in his quest to obtain the Infinity Stones will differ slightly in Avengers: Infinity War. The pic comes from the set of the upcoming Marvel film Captain Marvel. There have been plenty of those conversations as we were putting together the first Black Panther. Black Panther defending Wakanda alongside Cap, Bucky and M'Baku! We have ideas and a pretty solid direction on where we want to head with the second one. "I will say just the notion of having what, frankly, most other companies with [intellectual property] have all along, which is access to all of their characters, that would be fun". After I read about that, I was also conflicted about sharing this interview, especially since our Infinity War coverage hasn't really highlighted Brolin specifically. That meant she could be the singular hero, but place it within timing of the MCU. "That doesn't mean there are no movies after that".

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on April 27, 2018.

Earlier this week, we wrote about some new details about Marvel's big bad - namely, that he's the lone survivor of a now-extinct planet, and that he's actually trying to save the universe. In the comments of the picture, rumors are rife that Nick is about to undergo a BIG change in Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck's movie.

Is he thinking about Fox properties like the X-Men or Fantastic Four becoming available?

Though he'll be fighting the Avengers toward some monstrous, death-dealing ends, Brolin insists the character is smart, compassionate, even sympathetic.

When the folks over at EW spoke with the actor, they asked if he thought Thanos had the capacity to care for Nebula and Gamora, and the actor made it clear that there's a lot more emotion to the character than you might expect from the parade of smirks and swagger we've seen so far.
