Church of Scientology Is Set to Release Their Own TV Network

Scientology Is Launching Its Own TV Network On Monday Night…

Arriving on March 12 is the plainly titled Scientology Network, earmarked for a home on DIRECTV, AppleTV, Roku, fireTV, Chromecast, iTunes and Google Play.

The Church of Scientology is about to start spreading its controversial message in a whole new way for the organization - through its own television channel.

The Church of Scientology has created a thematic TV channel in the US.

"HELLO WORLD, and greetings from Scientology Media Productions in Hollywood, CA", read a tweet from @ScientologyTV, an account set up for the endeavor.

The Church of Scientology hasn't commented on the news, but a DirecTV spokesperson confirmed the launch on Monday, and a promotional video suggests the network will occupy the satellite service's channel 320, which is now infomercials.

What's interesting, though, is there isn't much indication yet about what the content will be.

Shows promised on the network by the app's webpage include "Meet a Scientologist" and "L. Ron Hubbard: In His Own Words".

After months of speculation, the Church of Scientology has taken the wraps off its soon-to-launch, 24-hour TV network.

One element that has always been a crucial promotional element for Scientology that is absent thus far from the materials touting the new network is any connection with Hollywood.

The move also comes after Alex Gibney's 2015 HBO doc Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief and A&E's doc series Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath.
