Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9
12 March 2018, 03:42 | Justin Tyler
Market remains unexcited about latest premium phones
However, Samsung has already pushed out the first update to it's flagship smartphones. The test shows that the glass is thicker than one found on the Galaxy S8.
That's certainly not ideal, but all's well that ends well, and on the bright side, the Note 8 is apparently slated to quickly follow the S8 and S8 Plus on the Android Oreo boat in Canada. The March security patch for Android released Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018). Nonetheless, the company has now implemented the latest Android 8.0 Oreo OS, along with the TouchWiz UI for the smartphones but the other leader smartphone from previous year was left out of the Oreo update.
Following this, Samsung notes that the Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, Galaxy A5, and Tab S3 will get the Oreo treatment in the "spring/summer".
The only difference will be that when customers purchase the Galaxy S9 from a Microsoft store, employees at its brick and mortar locations will then offer assistance on how to get Microsoft apps and make the most out of them on Samsung's latest flagship. "New and / or enhanced features" have been implemented, but we do not know which features the changelog is talking about because they are not mentioned.
We have received great news for those who own a SamsungGalaxy Note 8. It may be specific only to Turkey and possibly some other European markets, but it can be used as good indication on when the rest of the world will be getting the update. And as always, stay tuned for more information regarding Samsung and their smartphones!
