Fortnite Mobile Battle Royale App on iPhone iPad iOS and Android confirms Epic Games
In a new blog post, Epic has praised Microsoft for being a "leading voice" in supporting cross-platform play and "connecting players across PC, mobile and all consoles".
However it should be noted that Microsoft does not specifically mention the PS4, so it is possible that at the end of the day, cross-play between Xbox One and PS4 gamer won't be happening, but we guess at least there will be support between Xbox One and gamers on other platforms.
Epic Games has confirmed that soon you'll be able to play Fortnite with players on any other format... except the PlayStation 4.
Are you excited for this change? The Xbox One is still a console and built with the same x86 architecture like the PS4, there shouldn't be any technical differences that would prevent both systems from cross-play.
Earlier this week, Epic Games announced cross-play and cross-progression between the PlayStation 4, Mac, iOS, and eventually the Android when it's released. Microsoft has openly pushed for PS4 and Xbox players on one server but Sony has been reluctant saying that it was something that was "a commercial discussion between ourselves and our stakeholders". One step at a time. Same fornite experience, same map, same content, just on the go.
And now, Fortnite has announced that the game is coming on mobile devices. This was promptly shut down by developers Epic who said it was a mistake. We have been working with them for the last few months to make this possible and we are going to bring this feature to the "Fortnite" players on Xbox along with other platforms. Both Psyonix and Mojang have their games, Rocket League and Minecraft, support online play across PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Kyle Busch wins 1st stage; Kevin Harvick 2nd
Kyle Busch , who led a race-high 128 laps, was frustrated with second place as he blamed a late pit stop on the runner-up spot. At one point during the race last weekend, it looked as though Busch was the only driver capable of chasing down Harvick.
