Nick Gordon, the man Whitney Houston's family say contributed to Bobbi Kristina Brown's death, has been arrested in Florida for domestic violence.

Gordon had told the officer he just wanted his girlfriend to leave the home because he claimed she had ripped his shirt and thrown a bottle at him. She was found face down and unconscious in a bathtub in a Georgia home she shared with Gordon, whom she'd referred to as her "husband" on several occasions.

Gordon has been in the headlines since the death of his ex-girlfriend, the late Bobbi Kristina Brown, in July 2015.

According to the arresting officer on Saturday, Leal had a visible injury, including a slightly swollen bottom lip with dried blood.

The arrest comes nine months after Gordon was busted for brutally beating his live-in girlfriend Laura Leal in a jealous rage. Once home, she claims they got into another verbal altercation. It is reportedly listed as a domestic violence case for which he has allegedly posted $500 bond but has yet to be released by police. He is due to appear in court on April 6.

Meanwhile, Gordon was ordered to pay $36 million to Brown's estate in 2016 months after being found legally responsible for her death.

The domestic battery and kidnapping charges were dropped in August after Leal became uncooperative.

Gordon was previously arrested for allegedly kidnapping and beating Leal in June a year ago.

'If he was locked up somewhere where somebody can rape him, that's just how I feel.

Leal refused medical treatment and declined to press charges.
