The feature would roll out this week in celebration of International Women's Day, on March 8, Google said in a blog post.
The doodle featured Wednesday is actually 12 different illustrations done by 12 female artists, created to tell their stories.
Each illustration features a personal story or moment that has affected that artist as a woman, such as growing older or falling in love.
"We hope that the combined power of words and images help bring these stories to life in a way that invokes feelings of understanding, empathy, and spirit of the day", informs Google by clicking the play button at the centre of the Doodle at the top of the Google homepage.
According to Google, the stories have been translated into more than 80 languages and the Doodle is available to users around the world.
"We strive to organize the world's information in a way that is inclusive of all people", a Google spokesperson told TechCrunch. You can also now easily look for women-led businesses on Google Maps and Search as there is a new attribute specifically for that.
In 1977, the United Nations adopted March 8 as the International Women's Day and since then it celebrates women's rights and world peace. The programme will complement other Vodafone global initiatives focused on encouraging and supporting women in the workplace including the company's global maternity policy announced in March 2015.
The colors purple, green and yellow are frequently used in association with International Women's Day.
The theme for Moletsane's Doodle is "Audacity" and deals with the unexpected - Moletsane has introduced a woman into a traditional male ritual setting. Yellow replaced the use of white that originally represented purity.
