A few days ago the duo had a heated argument over the issue as Khaled said that he was only watching movies
A butcher has allegedly chopped off his teenager son's hand while he was asleep following a tiff over the teenager's habit of watching films on a mobile phone, police said on Tuesday. His son is an assistant at a local cable television operator.
Despite repeated warnings from Qayyum, his son continued to watch porn videos.
Two days ago, the father and son again had a fight.
The incident took place in the Pahadi Shareef village outside the city of Hyderabad.
'The father has been booked under section 307 of Indian Penal Code (attempt to murder) and taken into custody, ' Reddy said. The family immediately rushed Khalid to a nearby hospital where they told them that the possibility of restoration of his hand was bleak.
Khalid was watching movies on his cell phone on Sunday when his father caught him red-handed. During the tiff, the son allegedly bit Qureshi. "In a fit of anger, Qayuum picked up the butcher's knife and chopped off Khalid's right hand", HT quoted a police official as saying. But, he came back late in the night and remained watching something on his mobile even after the other family members went to bed.
The hand, slightly above the wrist, was severed with poor chances of recovery, the police said.
