Officials in Tallahassee have reported seeing white snowflakes falling in the panhandle of Florida. There was also a light glaze of ice forming on surfaces in downtown Tallahassee, according to the National Weather Service. The police in Tallahassee urged residents to use "extreme caution" on the roads and to bundle up if they were going to head outside in the snow and cold.

It marks the first snowfall in 28 years in Tallahassee.
