Local store Manager wins €250k New Year ticket

"Shucks. Back to work I went", said Faith Vincent, assistant manager.

"I've worked here for 11 years, and this is the biggest victor I've seen come out of here", she said. Take Preston defender Kevin O'Connor for example, who managed to win a lottery jackpot over Christmas despite not even playing the bloody thing! We hope they come in because we want to congratulate them. It's a dream start to the year for one of our lucky customers and I know it will bring a lot of excitement to the town as we extend our New Year's celebrations. "But it very well could have been someone just passing through".

Two Minnesotans woke up on New Year's Day $1 million richer, thanks to the Minnesota Millionaire Raffle.

Irish soccer star Kevin O'Connor has been named as the victor of the National Lottery Christmas Millionaire Raffle on New Year's Eve, with the defender bagging himself an incredible €1million. Each ticket costs $10.

For all 6,928 prizes, players can check their tickets for winners at idaholottery.com, by calling the Idaho Lottery Winning Numbers Hotline (208-334-4656), or by visiting an Idaho Lottery retail location.

In addition, five tickets each are now worth $100,000, including one sold at the Kroger in the Rio Hill Center in Albemarle County. Numbers are then drawn to determine who wins cash or other prizes, such as new vehicles, vacation packages, free groceries and other payouts.
