UCF Fans Put Up Billboard Challenging Alabama To Play Them
12 January 2018, 03:15 | Myron Mathis
SEC commissioner Greg Sankey says UCFs have a Playoff path, but…
Well, maybe not seriously, but fans of the university apparently do.
Following the Tide's victory, UCF fans paid for a billboard on McFarland Boulevard in Tuscaloosa congratulating Alabama and challenging them to a home-and-home series with the Knights. And the Knights should be praised for their 13-0 finish that included a victory against Auburn in the Peach Bowl on January 1.
The sign reads, "Congratulations Alabama!"
Of course, a matchup between the "true" national champions and the Knights dreamers will never happen. "How about a home & home series with UCF?"

And don't underestimate Nick Saban's ability to drum up the "disrespect" angle as well. Rick Scott issued a proclamation declaring the Knights as national champions as well.
Alabama, who defeated Georgia 26-23 in overtime, claimed the College Football National Championship and were ranked first in the final AP and USA Today Coaches polls.
If UCF and Alabama played this year, the Tide would've been favorites, as they are against every team they play. The Crimson Tide received 57 of 61 first-place votes from the media panel. A future meeting of the teams would do nothing to change the outcome of 2017, but it'd still be fun, and fun things are good.
