PUBG Announces Loot Box Item Drop Rates In New Update Patch Notes

Tonight's PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds patch adds loot crates and a new report function

Last month developer PUBG Corp revealed that the game had 30 million players across Xbox and PC, despite the game only launching in March 2017. The developer said that the problem persisted from the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds full release for the PC until the scheduled maintenance on December 27.

The PC version of PUBG went into 1.0 on December 20. While the Xbox One port is notably still in its early stages of development, the disappointment among console gamers is understandable considering the hype built around the game back when it was still exclusive on PC. As a matter of fact, PUBG managed to draw in a huge crowd with a player count of over 1 million within its first 48 hours of being available for Microsoft's current generation console in "early access".

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is racking up the accolades, this time for XBox One.

Still, it seems that despite the performance issues, many Xbox gamers are happy to pick up the game and see what all of the fuss is about. "It's been awesome to see the excitement and passion on display from the Xbox community".

In-Depth Loot System: Players will uncover a wide variety of weapons, armor, attachments, and much more as they explore - and battle - across the world.

Many other similarly structured games are expected over the years ahead, hoping to ape and hopefully improve on the PUBG formula. However, when it does arrive, you are going to be getting the best version of the game, without having to wade through framerate issues, downgrades in graphical quality or any other pre-release issues.

Rain and fog weather effects have yet to be added, not to mention Zombies mode, private games, custom games and PUBG's desert-themed map Miramar.

With the new patch players will notice slightly higher frame rates when moving around in the lobby area before a match starts.
