With the HTC U11 EYEs marketed as a mid-range smartphone - and with prices to match - the company may be able to carve out a significant piece of sales for themselves. This hasn't officially been confirmed yet, but it's a safe bet given the fact that HTC emphasized the word Eye in its Weibo post. The date mentioned on the invite coincides with the launch date of HTC U11 EYEs, whose launch was hinted at by a prominent tipster a while ago. A 3930mAh battery will likely provide the juice to sustain your daily activities, while 4GB of RAM will support it. The device will reportedly come with 64GB internal storage which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card.
The phone will be water and dust tight (IP67) and will have a single USB-C port.
The HTCDesire Eyesmartphone from 2014 featured a huge selfie camera. In case you missed it, the feature lets you squeeze the sides of the phone to differently interact with it. It features a rounded rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that sits just above the company's logo and below the main camera. While not much information is available about the camera specification, from the renders of the phone, it seems that there will be a dual camera setup on the front. The device is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 652 SoC coupled with 3GB/4GB of RAM. The HTCU11 EYEs is also expected to come in two variants, one with Snapdragon 652 and the other with Snapdragon 660. GSM Arena said on its report that the handset is rumored to initially arrive in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Share your views in comments below and stay tuned to us for newer phone updates!
