There were no casualties. The IDF confirmed the use of a tank and an IAF to strike Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.

They accuse PA President Abbas of not lifting sanctions he had previously imposed on Gazans as a strategy toward turning them against the Hamas rulers of Gaza.

"Upon the conclusion of the general staff's situation assessment, it was decided that a number of battalions will reinforce in the area of (the West Bank), as well as combat intelligence and territorial defense", the statement issued by the military said.

Later in the evening another launch was reported with rockets said to have fallen in open fields in Israeli territory.

The rocket fire followed several clashes between Palestinian demonstrators and Israeli forces along the Gaza border earlier in the day, in which at least nine Gazans were injured, according to the local health ministry.
