At least six people were hurt when a car ended up on a sidewalk after crashing into two other vehicles in Lower Manhattan
A damaged vehicle is seen after crashing into pedestrians in Lower Manhattan on December 3, 2017. Three more people were hurt when the auto went up on the sidewalk. NYPD officials said the driver of a Lincoln Continental struck a gray Ford Explorer at this intersection, struck two people and then proceeded east on Liberty street for almost a block before rear-ending a red Mercedes SUV.
Initial reports said the driver of the vehicle was arrested. The three pedestrians suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to preliminary reports from police.
The crash happened at Broadway and Liberty Sts, near Zucotti Park about 1.20pm local time. Drivers are advised to avoid the area due to a "serious collision".
