Map: Here are the current chances you'll get 2 inches of snow this weekend

Here's a look at areas in central Alabama that could potentially see some snow or a rain-snow mix on Friday. It could complicate the Friday morning commute in some of the bigger metro areas if the forecast holds

A Wind Advisory will be in effect for all of southeast MI through 7 p.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. A few other scattered outages have been reported throughout southeast MI. Gusting winds of 25 to 45 miles per hour are expected.

Impacts... Potential for downed tree limbs and branches. Computer guidance suggests a pocket of stronger jet stream winds may help produce a period of light snow that could whiten the ground by Saturday morning.

On Dec. 5, power outages were reported at several Fontana schools, the FUSD said on Twitter. Travelers on north-south highways especially should be prepared for sudden gusts that could temporarily cause problems controlling your vehicle - most affected will be high-profile vehicles such as trucks, trailers, buses and vans.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 18.

Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43.

Forget about those above-average high temperatures in the 50s to around 60 over the past couple of weeks. Breezy, with a north northwest wind 5 to 10 miles per hour increasing to 13 to 18 miles per hour in the afternoon. North-northwest wind 9 to 13 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 17 miles per hour.

Mostly cloudy north with lake effect showers.
