The suicide note purportedly written by Murali

Classes have been suspended in Osmania University, following clashes between students and police on Monday over the suicide of a first year student, Eramaina Murali, on Sunday.

A large number of angry students gathered near the hostel and staged a protest. "Therefore, I have made a decision to end my life", Murali wrote in his suicide note, according to The Times of India report. Therefore, I have chose to end my life."Murali reportedly wrote in his suicide note".

The police apparently found a suicide note from Murali and said he had ended his life due to depression, coupled with pressure from examinations. I never wanted to fail in exams.

On 4 December, a protest gathering called Koluvula Kotlaata (Fight for Employment), organized by Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC), was held in Hyderabad.

Devender Reddy, a senior journalist with a regional channel, and video journalist Praveen, who were there to cover the suicide incident, were also detained by the police on Sunday night.

The protesting students were taken away in two vans. OU vice-chancellor S Ramachandram condoled the sudden death of E Murali as he urged students to maintain peace.

Students of Osmania University have been at the forefront in the movement for the formation of separate Telangana state.

Doulapur is located in Siddipet district, within the Gajwel constituency, which is represented by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, and about eight kilometres away from the CM's farmhouse in Eravalli. The students alleged that Murali was anxious that the government would not keep its word to fill vacancies. The budget released by the University is only enough for paying the salaries and pensions of the employees and the students education is being affected.
