The Division Gets Free 1.8 'Resitstance' Update

The Division Resistance

The first of these is Resistance, where different factions team up to fight against Division agents while enemy NPCs span in waves, while Skirmish is a PvP mode where two teams of four battle it out for the highest number of kills in a time limit. Which pits two teams of four against each other with all the excitement of a time limit and the victor determined by the highest number of kills. Using cooperative tactics is strongly encouraged, as is using the resources dropped by enemies to set up defenses or extend the battlefield.

The 1.8 update is the biggest free update to The Division yet, with two new modes-a 4v4 Team Deathmatch mode called Skirmish, and a PvE Horde mode called Resistance-a new PvE map expansion called West Side Piers, Rogue 2.0 in the Dark Zone, a new movement system, and more. Players need to cooperate and find the best strategy to complete as many waves as possible and get greater rewards. Teams earn points each time a downed enemy player is eliminated. You can check out a trailer for the free update, and a quick refresher on what's included, below.

Of course, The Division Update 1.8 also includes the usual long list of tweaks, balance changes, and fixes.

Moreover, while the update is a welcome treat for existing players, Ubisoft is also giving everyone else an opportunity to try The Division, as well as its new content, with a free weekend. Players who have downloaded the free trial before December 7th will see trial restrictions lifted until the end of the free weekend.
