Death Stranding Star Norman Reedus Confirmed for The Game Awards

Death Stranding Star Norman Reedus Confirmed for The Game Awards

Norman Reedus will also be present to present an award, so maybe all three will share the stage this time?

KitGuru Says: The Game Awards will be happening quite late for us United Kingdom folks so I don't know if I'll be catching it live this year. Kieghley has already teased some new reveals and special guests for the show, and now we know who two of them will be, as Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro will be in attendance.

His first announcement came from a post on his personal Twitter account saying: "I'm happy to confirm Hideo is attending and will present an award with [del Toro] on Thursday night!" The game boasts a powerhouse cast of talent that includes the legendary Kojima, Norman Reedus as the game's protagonist, Mads Mikkelsen as the antagonist, and Guillermo del Toro. And are you excited to find out more about Death Stranding?

Details so far have been scarce, though the ex-Konami legend did make story comparisons to The Great Escape, and we do know that the Death Stranding game engine is the same hardware-pushing engine used in Horizon Zero Dawn.

The last Death Stranding update landed in October, when Kojima confirmed he was now working hard on writing the script.

Will you be watching the Game Awards 2017? Even though del Toro is a friend, it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine Kojima even keeping those close to him in the dark when it comes to the specifics of Death Stranding. What might Kojima reveal at this year's show? That something nearly certainly has to be Death Stranding, but whether it's more gameplay, game details, a release date, or hopefully all of the above remains to be seen. "You won't want to miss it".
