Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's 2.0 to hit screens in April 2018

Baahubali 2.0

On 27 April 2018, we will see a huge clash at the Indian box office. The makers had then postponed it to release for Republic Day.

After the release date of R. Balki's Padman was announced, speculation were rife that Rajinikanth's 2.0 will be postponed.

It looks like fans will have to wait longer before they can watch the Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran took to Twitter to share the release date of the highly anticipated movie. He further added, "While Padman is a film that I have produced, 2.0 belongs to Shankar, Rajinikanth and Lyca Productions". Stars Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar.

"The high-tech post-production works are fully geared and the team is all set for the release schedule", mentioned the press note. Khiladi Kumar said, "There is a lot of false information that is being circulated over both films releasing on the same day". The statement read, "Lyca Productions - Superstar Rajinikanth - Akshay Kumar - Shankar magnum opus SciFi action thriller 2.0 to be screened worldwide on April 2018". Adarsh also indicated that film could repeat the history of success just like Baahubali 2 this year.

Made at a whopping budget of Rs 400 crores by Lyca Productions, 2.0 is directed by Shankar and is touted to be Asia's costliest "natively acquired" 3D film. Hollywood blockbusters like Fast and Furious, The Jungle Book were also released in April. Do let us know in the comments section below.
