Apple Releases iOS 11.2 Update with Bug Fixes, Support for Faster Wireless Charging, & More

iPhone software glitch causing phones to reboot over and over again

In the video below we see iOS 11.2 vs iOS 10.3.3 running on the iPhone 5S, will the new iOS 11.2 be faster than iOS 10.3.3.

The update also introduces Apple Pay Cash, Apple's person-to-person payment system on iMessage, but sadly, the feature is only available for folks in the U.S.

If not, and you are getting the above message when trying to use Face ID, simply reboot your X, which is most cases fixes this "bug". Pay Cash will be available inside the Messages App and users can send the money through iMessages much like Venmo. It has a major 11.x update with several new features and bug fixes. The update also brings faster 7.5W wireless charging on iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X with compatible third-party wireless charging accessories. However, the feature is available in the U.S. only. The update also brings three new Live wallpapers for iPhone X and redesigned camera emojis. The update also comes with various bug fixes and improvements. Additionally, there is a support to automatically advance to the next episode from the same show in Podcasts and includes downhill snow sports distance as a data type in HealthKit.

It's safe to say that Apple's iOS 11 has been one of the buggiest updates ever pushed out by the company. For lock screen, it fixes an issue that could prevent swiping to Today View or Camera from the Lock Screen, and another issue that prevented Music controls from displaying on the Lock Screen. The pop-ups will now explain the change. iOS 11.2 has rolled out globally and we urge users to download the latest update, especially if they've found some of the bugs mentioned above.
