"U.S. Navy Carrier Strike Groups routinely deploy to the Western Pacific and the Indian Ocean", according to a Navy statement.

Nuclear-powered carriers USS Ronald Reagan, USS Nimitz and USS Theodore Roosevelt are taking part in the exercises, which will continue until Tuesday in the Sea of Japan, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said. Both operations focused on the capacity to quickly unite forces from three strike force groups because of national circumstances. "Pacific Fleet's unique ability and ironclad commitment to the continued security and stability of the region".

According to a Japan Ministry of Defense (MoD) press statement, the two navies conducted various tactical exercises this Sunday aimed at improving the tactical skills of the JMSDF and enhancing collaboration with the U.S. Navy.

Three Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyers linked up for the first time with three U.S. Navy aircraft carriers for a massive exercise on November 12 in the Sea of Japan in a show of force toward Pyongyang.

The exercise involves three USA aircraft carrier groups, making it the largest show of force in a decade.

While in the water, the strike force intends to conduct air defense exercise, surveillance, refill at sea, coordinated moves, defensive air combat strategies, and much more. "But our military is keeping a full readiness posture against the possibility of North Korea's provocations", a South Korean official was quoted as saying by the Yonhap news agency.

"The United States Navy is the only force in the world able to carry out such an exercise", a Navy official told DoD News.

The U.S.S. Nimitz, the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt, and the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan all took part in the exercise, along with their accompanying vessels. "The U.S. efforts to expand its military influence in Asia-Pacific and the movement of big neighboring powers to contain it escalate the military tension and increase arms race in the region with each passing day", it said.
