Before you could jump to the conclusion that Markle had any hand in Adam's exit, insiders have clarified that the Mike actor was considering quitting the show for a while now.

A wedding between Mike and Rachel Zane (Markle) is set to air at some point in the second half of season 7.

Sad news, Suits fans - two of the show's main stars seem poised to leave the show after the seventh season.

Markle herself, meanwhile, has been in a high-profile relationship with Prince Harry for more than a year, and recently met his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. The speculations rose after Markle spent her birthday with Harry in Africa and made her first appearance with the royal at the Invictus Games.

"If Meghan decides not to come back for season 8, the show will still keep going, if everyone else signs on", the insider added.

Talks are taking place regarding a Season 8 renewal, but no agreement has been reached.

The network and reps for both Adams and Markle declined to comment on the report, but a source told Entertainment Weekly that discussions are still ongoing, so nothing is final yet. Sources said that should the 36-year-old actor depart from the show as a series regular at the end of the current season, the door will remain open for him to recur or guest-star in Season 8. This is true on all long-running shows, and people have things happening in their lives. In fact, according to Deadline, Adams has been looking to move on for some time and, as many of us can guess, although Markle hasn't explicitly stated this, she has plenty of other projects and responsibilities in her life at the moment. But she is not leaving alone. But we can't imagine the show without Harvey and Mike!

"I went to bed, and woke up in the morning and realized 'Oh, yeah". On Monday evening, it was confirmed by Deadline that Markle would be leaving Suits after Season 7.
