When Cam Newton is having fun, the Carolina Panthers are a risky team and they proved that in a 45-21 win over the Miami Dolphins.

Four plays later, Newton connected with Ed Dickson on a 7-yard touchdown pass.

The Panthers (7-3) turned in perhaps their most complete game of the season with a balanced offense and stifling defense, albeit against the NFL's worst attack. Carolina racked up 548 yards of total offense, besting their season average by over 230 yards.

Our models projected Newton for 21.1 FanDuel points, and he finished as Week 10's top scorer with 35.66 fantasy points on Monday.

The Panthers' running game as a whole was in form for the second game in a row, as the team rushed for a season-high 296 yards in the win. The Miami franchise record for yards allowed is 611. "It's a really good time to come out on a Monday night football game". Quarterback Jay Cutler threw for 311 yards and three touchdowns in the losing effort.

Running backs Damien Williams and Kenyan Drake, who combined for 165 yards from scrimmage last week, were non-factors despite their 131 combined yards from scrimmage _ 30 yards receiving and 101 yards rushing.

Miami forced a punt and took over at its own 20-yard line with 47 seconds left, but Cutler's pass was intercepted by linebacker Luke Kuechly.

The Dolphins closed the gap with 2:12 left in the half when Cutler's flip pass to tight end Julius Thomas went for a 2-yard touchdown.

Carolina drove 78 yards in eight plays with the payoff coming on a 28-yard pass from Newton to wide receiver Devin Funchess with 11:50 remaining. After almost throwing a bad interception early in the game, the Panthers rattled off multiple scoring drives.
