Xiaomi's Redmi Note 4 has got a price cut on Flipkart, with the phone now starting at Rs 8,999 for the 2GB RAM and 32GB variant. The Redmi Y1 comes in 3GB and 4GB RAM variants, which are priced at Rs 8,999 and Rs 10,999 respectively. Xiaomi has mentioned that it is a permanent price cut, making the device that much more alluring to buyers. The Redmi Note 4 with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is also listed on Flipkart for Rs 9,999 down from the Rs 10,999. That's incidentally the same price as the version with 2GB of RAM, which will likely be discontinued in the market. This discount will presumably be for phones sold online on Mi.com and Flipkart and not offline handsets.

Flipkart has begun its "Big Redmi Note 4" sale, with a flat Rs 1000 off inclusive in the final price. On the camera front, the Note 4 has a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and 5MP front camera. The battery is the highlight of the Redmi Note 4 at 4100 mAh. In terms of operating system, the device runs on Android Nougat 7.0 with custom UI MiUi 9 on the top, which offers a feature like the dual app, multi-window, and support for third-party themes.

The company is also offering the Redmi Note 4 for Rs 999 on its "Buy with exchange" offer where customers would have to part with their own smartphones to avail the new price.

The Redmi Note 4 comes in four colour options - Grey, Gold, Silver and a new matte Black version. Follow up to the much successful Redmi Note 3; the Redmi Note 4 exists primarily to correct the camera shortcomings of its predecessor, according to the company. It is best to get the 4GB RAM version as it comes with 64GB storage on board.
