SC somehow turned an intercepted pass into a 20 yard gain

South Carolina's A.J. Turner gained 136 yards on 22 carries as the Gamecocks rushed for a season-high 220 yards in a 28-20 victory, handing Florida its fifth straight loss Saturday in Columbia, S.C. Defensive back CJ Henderson intercepted a Jake Bentley pass at about the 25-yard line.

Later in the opening quarter, Denson's 24-yard run made it a 14-0 game.

Things continue to go poorly for Florida, and not just because of the midseason departure of coach Jim McElwain. The Gators (3-6, 3-5) will finish with a losing SEC record for only the third time since 1992. And let's not forget about Florida's offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier, who called a run play with an already banged-up quarterback immediately after his return.

The Gamecocks (7-3, 5-3 Southeastern) had their best game of the season, gaining 469 yards, and needed that offense to overcome Bentley's three interceptions and a fumbled punt.

Florida was missing at least 20 of its 85 scholarship players because of injuries or suspensions.

The only problem for SC was turnovers as QB Jake Bentley threw three interceptions on the afternoon.

The Gamecocks scored a TD in the third quarter.
