Character Kevin spacey is completely cut from the new film by Ridley Scott

In a race against time, Ridley Scott cuts out Kevin Spacey

News broke on November 8 that director Ridley Scott was removing Spacey from his upcoming drama "All the Money in the World" and replacing the actor with Plummer in the role of business tycoon J. Paul Getty. Now, he's attempting what could be his greatest trick yet.

However following numerous sexual assault allegations against Spacey, who stars as J Paul Getty, All The Money In The World is reshooting his scenes in just six weeks. In the wake of the allegations, Scott made a decision to excise all scenes that featured Spacey, who played tycoon J. Paul Getty in the film, and re-shoot the scenes with Plummer playing the part. "It's quite a push", Plummer told Entertainment Tonight of the reshoot schedule, adding that they plan to start shooting next Monday.

"Ages ago I was in contention for [the role], way back". The actor is pleased with the role, sharing, "I'm fascinated by doing real people".

Actor Christopher Plummer (L) is pictured arriving at the 2016 Canadian Screen Awards in Toronto, Ontario March 13, 2016, and Kevin Spacey (R) is pictured at the 71st Tony Awards in New York City, U.S., June 11, 2017 in this combination of file photos. I admire Ridley Scott and I'm thrilled to be making a movie for him. I think it was very sad what happened to him. "It's so sad, it's such a shame, and that's all I can say". I wanted to work with him. The move followed allegations that the actor made sexual advances toward several minors in the past, including Broadway's Anthony Rapp. He's very good. I loved the script. The script was wonderful.

Plummer, 87, pointed out that he doesn't see any challenges in taking over the role so quickly, explaining, "None at all". I can't remember how many scenes I have at the moment.

Eight current and former employees of the Netflix TV show "House of Cards", who were not identified, also have accused Spacey, the star of the show, of sexual misconduct, CNN has reported.

Spacey's ouster comes amid an increasing number of sexual assault allegations against the actor which have knocked Spacey from a number of projects slated to feature the two-time Academy Award victor.
