Tiffany Haddish opens with hilarious monologue, 'SNL' writers fail with skits

Tons of serious talent likely auditioned for their coveted roles, so Saturday Night Live took the guesswork out of the equation for you and imagined what it would've been like had a bunch of your favorite actors and musicians tried out for the movie - and that includes a spot-on portrayal of Cardi B by Girls Trip's breakout star, Tiffany Haddish.
Hosted by Tiffany Haddish - who made history as the first black woman stand-up comic to host the show - last night's SNL was amusing and wide-ranging, and might have been one of the best episodes of the season! "Listen. Okay? If you got your thing-thing out and she's got all her clothes on, you're wrong".
"Who is doing Donald Trump's wigs? You're in the wrong". "Wait 'til she take her own clothes off, then pull your thing-thing out, okay?"
Singer Taylor Swift performed two songs from her newly released album, "Reputation".
Haddish and her monologue were at their best though when her stage persona melded a new-to-this-glitz sense of wonder and am-who-I-am brashness.
In another promo for the show from earlier this week, Haddish walks through the studio with "SNL" cast member Aidy Bryant. If you're familiar with the format, you know what you're in for: Cats with unusual backgrounds (like believing they are Darth Vader), McKinnon getting felt up during the sales pitch and the bulk of the feline co-stars not always behaving like angels. Or rather, by the fact she'd visited them all in one day, a false assumption made because she was wearing the same dress in all of the pictures.
Pushing the button makes the lights dim and ejects "SNL" cast member Kyle Mooney from the studio.
