Carrie Underwood Suffers Broken Wrist and Other Injuries After Fall

Carrie Underwood breaks wrist in fall outside home

And now Carrie Underwood is currently recuperating after being hospitalized for a broken wrist after a fall on the steps outside her home.

Along with her broken wrist, the Before He Cheats songstress is also healing from minor cuts and abrasions. Underwood's husband, Mike Fisher, reportedly rushed back to Nashville to be with her.

The doctors chose to release her from the hospital not long after they put a cast on her wrist.

The singer, who co-hosted the CMA Awards Wednesday with Brad Paisley, tweeted Sunday thanking her followers for all the well wishes.

As such, she will be unable to perform during the Country Rising benefit concert that is scheduled for Sunday night (Nov. 12) in Nashville. "I'll be alright", she wrote, adding, "might just take some time...glad I've got the best hubby in the world to take care of me".

Numeorus fans replied to Underwood's update with well wishes, words of admiration and hopes she would heal up soon. "Make sure you take all the time you need and that that lovely hubby of yours looks after you!" Underwood said she's grateful for her compassionate husband. His first impression must've been phenomenal because they got married just two years after they started dating.

The devout Christian couple tied the knot in 2010 at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge in Georgia.
